Taiwan Day 1

We touched down in Taoyuan International Airport at 2.10pm, and reached out hotel at about 4pm!

Guess who I saw on the plane to Taiwan? Mi'Er! She was my good friend from Sec 1-3 until some unhappiness happened between us and we drifted apart. Mostly my fault. But we've since resolved it after we graduated and have put the unpleasant past aside.

But it was so freaking coincidental that she was on the same flight to Taiwan and I pretty much saw her quite a few times throughout the trip! It seemed we had the same programme or something like that! Haha!

We walked around XiMenDing, had steamboat dinner near our hotel, before heading to ShiLin Night Market for shopping and eating!

Shilin is no longer as nice as it was in the past, according to Jason. It's now an indoor eating area with chairs and tables, and every stall sells almost the same thing.

We played Bingo and won myself a Hello Kitty pillow! I'm so happy!

Taiwan Day 2

It was to the Miniature Museum of Taiwan!

Wasted trip lah!
Taiwan Day 2

It was to the Miniature Museum of Taiwan!

Wasted trip lah!

We had breakfast near our hotel before heading there.

Had lunch around Zhong Xiao Dun Hua area. I love Hielo Frozen Yoghurt! And the Guo Tie from Ba Fang Yun Ji!

Went to WuFenPu for some shopping after that!

It's a huge place and we couldn't finish it in one day, so only covered a few areas before going over to Rao He Night Market which is seriously a food haven! It's just full of food! And I had my first experience with smelly tofu there!

Feeling adventurous, we decided to go check out one of the clubs since it was Ladies' Night! We went to Lava at Neo 19. Each of us had to pay a cover charge of SGD$21 but there is free flow for both the ladies and the men! Wah shiok ah! And the drinks included in the free flow selection are not the usual house pours. They have a selection of cocktails, Baileys, Kahlua, beer and shots! All the way till 4am! Great value for money! The girls really dress up for clubbing, and some look pretty young. But after people-watching for awhile, I realised that the girls just mainly reveal a lot of skin and think it's sexy. I think of it as thrashy. Seriously.

It was a pretty nice drink-and-chill session with Pokes because we haven't done it for some time.
Taiwan Day 3

We had breakfast at Din Tai Fung! We made our way there ourselves. It's at Yong He Street, and we actually took a public bus from Da An station. Interesting!

Headed down to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall.

We went to ShiDa Night Market after that, and had yummy food! I love Arnor's French Crepes and the Kou Rou Bao! Damn delicious!

Still greedy, we went to ShiLin Night Market to buy some stuff back to the hotel to eat!

Taiwan Day 4

It was XinBeiTou and Danshui today!

Had breakfast at Yong He Dou Jiang You Tiao first.

Headed to XinBeiTou for hot spring. It was my first experience with hot springs and I'd say I don't think I'd go again. We took a private hot spring room because Pokes didn't bring his trunks and was not allowed to use the public hot springs. It's just pretty much like soaking in a bath tub of hot water. Nothing great leh.

Then to Danshui for a photo-taking session! So many nice photos to take because the scenery was just great! And Danshui Lao Jie has so many nice street food! We had fried crispy octopus there! It's somewhat like Calamari! I love Danshui and would definitely return.

After we headed back to our hotel, we actually freshened up before walking around XiMenDing and eating more food! Haha!
